Ten

It was the first day of summer and the sun illuminated the project sky. At this early hour, it was quiet out. The kids hadn't flooded the parks yet, and the nine to fivers had already gone to work. The only people roaming the streets were drug fiends and the hustlers.

Cash sat on the bench on Blunt Avenue finishing his sausage and pancakes. A young kid, about 15 or 16 years old walked through the strip and sat on the bench opposite of where Cash was sitting.

"Lemme get one of those sacks Cash." The kid said, tossing a balled up twenty dollar bill into Cash's lap. "Yo, you heard about that shit that happened to Homicide?"

Cash threw a sack of marijuana over to the kid. "Nah, what happened?" he asked, playing it off like he didn't know.

"Somebody stuck that nigga for his chain and his watch. Now they got a video on YouTube wit' some nigga in all black, wit' a mask on sayin' he the one that took it. The nigga said if Homicide want the chain back, he gotta give 'em twenty stacks."

"Word?" Cash knew all about it because he was the one that set the whole thing up.

"What else he say?"

"Nothin'... oh, he said he keepin' the watch 'cause he like that shit." The kid answered.

Before you knew it, everybody was talking about the YouTube video; from the hood to Hollywood. Cash was told there would be a video, but he had no idea when it would be put out. He smiled to himself while thinking about the entire ordeal.

The video was up and being viewed by millions. People all over the world had logged on to see this dude, who no one could identify, brag about robbing a rap star.

In barbershops all over the globe Casual aka Homicide was at the butt of every joke.

Later that day a BET newsbreak flashed on the 20 inch color television in the bodega while Jahlil and Kadeem were inside.

This is Carla Scott for BET News... Drama in Hip Hop is once again escalating with rappers and stick up kids. Two days ago a video was leaked showing a masked, gun toting thug claiming to be the person who robbed the rap artist Homicide. He goes on to tell about how he robbed the rapper of his chain, watch and all the money in his pockets. As the video plays, the masked man taunts Homicide by holding up a chain and pendant with the letters CBR on it. The exact chain the rapper wore in previous music videos. Before the video ends, the masked man tells Homicide that if he wants his chain back it's going to cost him twenty thousand dollars. He also added that he would keep the watch because he likes it. For more on this story tune in tonight at ten pm. I'm Carla Scott for BET News.

"Oh shit, you seen that Jah?" Kadeem's eyes were glued to the screen.

Jahlil place two Heinekens on the counter and paid for them.
